Data Privacy Day is an international effort to raise awareness and promote data privacy and protection best practices. It is held on 28 January every year sponsored by the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA). 

History of Data Privacy Day

Data Privacy Day began in the United Sates and Canada in January 2008 as an extension of the Data Protection Day celebration in Europe.

Data Protection Day commemorates the 28 January, 1981 signing of Convention 108, the first legally binding international treaty dealing with privacy and data protection.

Data Privacy is the signature event in a greater privacy awareness effort by NCSA and NexSchools takes pride in joining the initiative as Data Privacy Champion.

In 2021, NCSA is encouraging individuals to “Own Your Privacy” and encouraging businesses to “Respect Privacy”.

We are dedicated to support NCSA achieve its mission to build data privacy awareness and combining with NexSchools mission to “Make Happier & Safer Internet Experiences”. Managing Privacy is key to protect your personal information to value and protect.
