"Glory lies in the attempt to reach one’s goal and not reaching it."  Mahatma Gandhi

Gandhiji always believed and propagated for every individual to be self-sufficient as a result he gave very simple steps to be self-sufficient that could be carried out and followed with ease by all adult, child, man or woman, rich or poor, educated or uneducated……

Today in the world of materialistic needs and wants it is all the more important to understand and adapt to convince ourselves that no machine can replace a pair of hard-working hands and feet.

We are advancing towards technology and becoming a slave to gadgets that we have at our fingertips.

As educationists, we are all the more responsible to pass on values of self-reliance tour students along with wise words of Mahatma Gandhi before the thoughts just start becoming a part of history.

At C M International school we have come up with an initiative called Khadi Day which is celebrated on 2nd October every year.

Gandhi Jayanti Kahadi Day Celelbration in CM Intl School Pune Maharashtra India on NexSchools.comEvery Indian needed at least 13 yards of cloth per year. Gandhiji believed that multiplication of mills could not solve the problem of cloth supply; therefore he stressed the development of Khadi industry. For Gandhiji, khadi was the “symbol of unity of Indian humanity of its economic freedom and equality”. Khadi means the decentralisation of production and distribution of the necessaries of human life. Khadi movement began only after Gandhiji’s return from South Africa.

To get the students familiar with the ideologies and thoughts of Gandhiji an exhibition cum sale of hand made products is organized on 2nd October the students also put up eatery stalls and all the profit earned is donated to the orphanage.
