Brain Drain

India should walk on her own shadow- we must have our own development model.", quoted by Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam.

India is a galaxy of intellectuals. There are numerous Indians ,who are being graduated from the world's top educational institutions and have proved themselves globally competitive. But this appears to be a mere virtue from the country's point of view

Since the ancient times, Indians have been intellectually superior than the rest of the world. India has borne ample great thinkers and revolutionaries throughout the years. But it has not contributed significantly to the country's productive and efficient development . This is probably because the Indian intellectuals move on ,and settle in other well-developed countries because of the availability of good job privileges and the better ways of living ,that remain mostly unattended in India .

Moreover, these citizens contribute hugely to the already developed countries. For a country that has spent so much to bring one to this level of success, is it not the duty of each one to reciprocate the same, to the motherland?

Brain drain takes up a very disappointing phase, when the country's citizens, who are otherwise an asset, turn into liability. Only when the situation of brain drain is curbed to an extent, can a country like India have a leap in it's progress, as, everyone's contribution has a role to play , after all, drops of water collect to form an ocean.

Hence, there is a need of complete realization among Indians, including the governing bodies majorly, so that the word 'developed India' comes into usage in a short space of time!

Finally, "Your pride for your country should not come after your country becomes great. Your country should become great because of your pride in it."
