Stop

Have you ever thought of this?

Stop. Look around.

See what's happening.

In today’s fast paced world we forget about ourselves. Deadlines, submissions, classes and a whole list of things. We keep juggling from one place to another, hopping from foot to foot. We don’t take much time for ourselves nor do we pay as much attention to others. there is a need to reach our goals or complete a project. Finding balance between everything becomes hard. People neglect their own health to complete their work. We’ve packed our timetables with so much to do that we don’t give ourselves more time to relax than what we’ve allotted for ourselves. We follow what’s been set down for us and keep running in life’s race. We forget to slow down and look around, enjoy what life has to o

it's hard to realize that sometimes we have to slow down. Leave our work and actually look around, actually listen. From time to time even I skip going down to play or turn down playing with my brother just to finish school work or do something I want to do. Everyone seems to have lesser free time with each passing day.

When students reach higher grades, we know that naturally the amount of our syllabus will increase. Students join tuitions to keep up with the school work they leave the extra curricular classes that they enjoy but there are still classes on all days of the week. We stay up late to complete our homework and revise our chapters. Many of my friends drink coffee so that they can stay awake at night and do their work. This also must be the case for workers in offices. After school or work there isn’t enough time to finish our work or do what we want to. Everything needs to be done right now, no delays are allowed.

Time seems to be something that is scarce. People are always in a rush to go somewhere to do something. Often it seems that I don’t have enough time in the day to do everything I want. Mostly people look at their shoes and walk ahead instead looking around and walking slowly. We complain about how much we have to do and how little time we have. Time isn’t as limited as we perceive, Imagine life is a rose. It’s beautiful, admire it, enjoy it. But, all we see are the thorns that make it hard to hod the rose.

Time management is crucial to the modern lifestyle, yes, but if you don’t take breaks the stress will eventually get to you. You don’t always have to gallop ahead, trotting along the way won’t hurt at all. Take time for yourself. If you ever panic that your work isn’t complete or your goals seem too far away always remember, stop. Look around. Take a deep breath and give yourself a minute to cool down and recollect your scattered thoughts. You might’ve been running around in circles, missing the exit because you weren’t able to see. Do something that you love. It’s okay to take some extra time to do what you want. Treat yourself like you would treat a toddler. Eat regualarly, Sleep well and don’t exert yourself too much. Stay organized and keep your aim in mind.

There is enough time. There is no need to run all the time. Finding balance between everything might be hard but it is there.

Look at the sky not at your shoes.
