A DREAM OF PANCHA- SUTRAS

I guess that was the strangest thing I ever experienced. To start with, it was the day when my father gifted me my favorite mobile phone.  I was very excited on getting it. I got busy on chatting with my friends. It was incredible that my chatting lasted from 3 pm to 9 pm. My mom enraged by my weird behavior, gave a call to me to go to bed. Realizing the consequences of not obeying my mom’s words, I went to bed.

Suddenly, I heard the message tone from mobile phone. O my God! I received a message from an unknown number texted as “Good night Miss Beautiful” in whatsapp. I got perplexed out of fear and asked that who it was. I got the reply that  it was my well-wisher. My hands started shivering when I received all my photos from that number and that person gave all my details , my tastes and that guy also said that he was the one who asked my father to buy a mobile phone for me.

I gave a sight at my father’s room, the light was on. I couldn’t dare to share this with my dad thinking that he may take away my mobile phone and over pamper me. Suddenly, my father asked me if I was awake. I gave no answer to signify that I was asleep.

Later, that person texted me greeting as princess and added how were my Board Exam preparations going on. I warned that guy that it isn’t the courtesy to chat with an unknown. That guy texted back that it was Sharath and he knew me better than myself. He further added that it was late and wished me good night considering me as his darling and an apple of his eye. That night was sleepless for me. A demand for my dad’s hug rose in my heart and I approached dad’s room to satisfy my demand. By that time dad’s was deep asleep.

Next dawn, when the sun was in shine, Sharath greeted me a lovely morning and hoped that the torch gave me light and peace of mind and prayed that  my day  might be graceful. For which I replied that his torture at heights would piece my mind and make my day awful. I blocked his number and went to college. No sooner did I come from college than I received a message from an unknown number but a known person, undoubtedly Sharath.

At that juncture, I thought of complaining to mom but I felt that I must learn to deal with my problems by myself. Hence, I tried to convince that guy not to message or chat with me. In the chat, he asked me if I was back to home for which I replied that I’m in search of my goals and asked him not to disturb me. To  which he texted that he would not at all harm my life as he loved me. He further acknowledged that I am an NCC cadet and I go to weekly parades on Saturdays. He asked if I was going to Bellari to attend the weekly parade that day as it was a Saturday. I lied that I was going that day for which he got excited to meet me at the railway station. With an intention to disappoint him I decided not to go to NCC that day but…………..reluctantly I had to go as dad flew off the handle that I will miss my parades and classes. As soon as my father arrived , my guess came true as he texted “ Miss beautiful, Thanks for Coming” and added “We both seem to be joined at hip” , I proposed him that he can’t float my boat and he must not dare to meet me. He confirmed me that he is in love with me and he wouldn’t meet me at my dislike.

Later, I joined my friend with a bag which had my NCC uniform and relevant documents for examination. Me and my friend boarded the train, the train geared up its pace and I received an image in whatsapp. It was the image of my bag. I got shaken up and I realized that I forgot to carry my bag. I was on pins and needles as that bag had documents which were so important for registration of my NCC exams. Realizing my feelings, he geared up my mood saying that the bag was safe with him.

On seeing that message I was on the clouds of nine. He asked me to meet him at Janapada Hotel in Bellari to receive my bag.

On one side I felt that would be in the soup on meeting him, on the other hand, I felt that I could rely on him as a well-wisher. I asked that how could I recognize him. He replied that he was in blue shirt with black trousers. I felt that I have seen that attire somewhere. Ignoring my thoughts I reached Bellari Railway Station. I also reached the vestibule of Janapada Hotel. He confirmed me that it was table number seven and he was waiting for me with bells on.

My heart was bouncing off the walls with each additional step towards the table number seven. Finally, I found a person of age group 30-40 sitting on the chair of table number seven with blue shirt and black trousers. My excitement dialed back at that person’s age and I said “Excuse me”. “O God!” I exclaimed as I jumped out of my skin. It was my dad! He turned towards me and hailed “Good Afternoon, my apple”. For which replied with a smile “A lovely afternoon Mr. Handsome”. He asked if I was disappointed to have an old man and later recited the poem “When You Old” penned by The Bard of Avon to show that his eternal love for me.

In response to that poem, I said that the old handsome guy’s love for me was “too dear”. I received a message later which was texted as “I love you Darling” for which I replied “Just ‘I love you too’ couldn’t express my unlimited love for you”. We took a sip of tea and dad gave five precautions of using mobile phone. I would like to quote them as PANCHA –SUTRAS. They are:

  1. Share each and everything with parents with regard to mobile phones and your friends in social media. Be aware of account hackers.
  2. Never attend calls or use headphones while charging the mobile phone.
  3. Late night usage of phones must be avoided to be healthier.
  4. Take steps wisely when it is a matter of downloading advanced games or apps( Blue whale game, Momo and etc).
  5. Mobile phones must be used to mobilize and channelize your thoughts in good way but not to annihilate yourself.

Suddenly, dad started crowing like a rooster “cock-a-doodle-doo………” I opened my eyes; it was the alarm tone from my mobile phone. I could see the tender sunshine trying to enter my room through window. Dad stood in front of mirror getting ready for a morn shift. He greeted me “A lovely morning princess, let the torch give you light, peace of mind and may your day be graceful”. My mind got blank and I gave no response for a while and later said “bu…bub..bubb……bye Mr. Handsome, have a great day”.  ‘

I guess those were the precautions that my lord Sai Baba preached me to make safer use of mobile phone as I am leaving to Bengaluru after a couple of months to appear for CA coaching.

My request to all the people, especially youngsters is to use mobile phones considering those PANCHA-SUTRAS.
