Hi Friends, I am so excited to blog about Ganesh Chaturthi. It’s fun and awesome to see this festival being celebrated in our building.

Now, I am very excited to tell how we celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi with our friends and neighbours.

In our society as the Ganesh Chaturthi (first day of the festival) starts there are many events held in such as musical chair, dance, singing and many more. We enjoy all of them very much. It is held for 10 days. During the festival distribution of  very tasty and yummy prasad is relished by everyone.

Let me take you to the most loved & popular feaures:

Delicious food: The Prasad is a sweet ball of excitement. We are served with Prasad every morning and evening.

Games & Fun: We play games and there are competitions of cricket, football and many more indoor games. During the football and cricket matches, we have teams of children and adults.

Treasure Hunt is also conducted, there are 4 teams. When any team wins, we get chocolates as the prize.

Dances and Dramas: Children particiapte in various dances and dramas and you would be happy to know we also perfom dramas on traffic safety and other community related problems.

Ganesh Chaturthi is, also called Vinayaka Chavithi. It is a Hindu festival. It marks the birthday of the beloved elephant headed lord Ganesha. Lord Ganesha is known as god of wealth, sciences, knowledge, wisdom and prosperity. Lord Ganesha is known by 108 different names like Gajanana, Vinayaka, Vighnaharta among others. Ganesha is the younger son of lord Shiva and Parvati.

Do share in comments, how do you celebrate festivals.
