The declaration of the CBSE Class 12 Board Examination Result 2026 came as a surprise and a disappointment for lakhs of students and parents across the country. With many students scoring significantly lower than expected, concerns over evaluation standards, tougher question papers, and the implementation of On-Screen Marking (OSM) have dominated conversations in schools and homes alike.

Adding to the anxiety, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) opened the Class 12 revaluation application window today, May 19, through the official portals CBSE and CBSE IT Portal. However, the process was marred by technical glitches from the very first hours of operation.

Many parents reported repeated captcha code errors while trying to access the portal. In several cases, even after the captcha was accepted and login attempts appeared successful, the website either froze or got stuck on the registration page despite displaying “successful login” messages. The delays and uncertainty left parents overwhelmed, especially those trying to secure applications before the deadline.

The situation reflects growing pressure on students and families already grappling with unexpectedly low scores this year. Education observers say the frustration is not merely about marks, but also about the lack of a smooth and transparent grievance redressal system at a crucial academic moment.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the Class XII board examination results on May 13, 2026, with the overall pass percentage falling to 85.20%, down from 88.39% last year. More than 15 lakh students cleared the examination, but the 3.19 percentage point decline has sparked discussion among principals, teachers and education experts over tougher papers and the first large-scale use of On-Screen Marking (OSM).

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has opened the Class 12 result revaluation 2026 application window from today, May 19, 2026. Students who are dissatisfied with their marks can now apply online through the official CBSE portals.

The CBSE revaluation last date 2026 is May 22. Students are advised to submit their applications before the deadline through CBSE Official Website and CBSE IT Portal.
