THING WHICH WE ALL SHOULD CATER TO

I don’t know! Oh! Is it? So? I didn’t do it! Are such responses we get to hear very often. But don’t you care? Don’t you know? You very well know everything. It’s just that you don’t want to take the responsibility of knowing, doing. Yes, my first blog is on the topic ‘Responsibility’. Responsibility towards your family, towards your friends, towards your profession, your society and the most important responsibility towards your own self.

Everyone has to fulfil some or the other responsibility in their life. Eg :- Caring for your parents health is your responsibility. They did it when you were young (child). They didn’t dodge their responsibility. Guiding your friends to the right path; mentoring them is your responsibility. For what do you make friends then? Being true to your profession is also equally important. Being a doctor, lawyer, builder etc… no matter in what profession or business you are in you should have some ethics. I being a teacher it’s my moral responsibility to guide my students, listen to them and make them independent enough to choose the right path. Now a days responsibility towards the society has increased tremendously. People are becoming aware of the hazards caused by them to the environment around them. However there are a few situations which are left neglected. Eg :- when you are stuck in the traffic and when you hear an ambulance behind, it’s your responsibility to give way to it. People have become so insensitive that they follow just to reach in time, unknowing of the fact that following or leading the ambulance is a universal offence.

The most important responsibility is towards yourself. You get only one life and it’s your responsibility to devote it for a good cause. Its very easy to take shortcuts but taking the responsibility of your acts no matter how difficult they seem, is very crucial. You are defined by what you do, you achieve, your decisions and the way you fulfil all this. Everything! I repeat everything is your responsibility! You cannot blame anyone else for your actions. You have to take the onus for your actions. And for this self-realization is must. So I end my blog by saying:

“You cannot escape your responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today”- Abraham Lincoln.

Hi Everyone! I Rujuta, being a teacher feel that there are few moral values that we all, especially students should inculcate within themselves. So here`s my first blog which portrays one such value.
