I am going to write about Martyn Beardsley’s book Sir Gadabout, the worst knight in the world. This book contains 3 stories, the first one is Sir Gadabout the second one is Sir Gadabout does his best and the third book is Sir Gadabout and the little horror. I am going to write about the first one, Sir Gadabout.

So, the story beings like, Sir Gadabout and Sir Lancelot had a tournament, just when the tournament started Sir Gadabout had his ear cut off by Sir Lancelot, and he went to a wizard called Merlin and got his ear fully stuck and when he was returning back to the castle, King Arthur was crying and told them that queen Guinevere went missing. Sir Gads sets out on a catastrophic quest to rescue her by doing great adventures.

Sir Gadabout faces Sir Bartholomew, Sir Pas le Port, flying castles, crazy tortoises etc. and rescue Queen Guinevere and becomes a hero overnight. Reading this story was fun and imagining flying castles and a talking wizard’s cat gave me whole new ideas of weirdness. 
The illustrations by Tony Ross are funny but I didn’t like them in particular as they were not clear and understanding.
