Through this blog I would like to inform the young parents, specially the young moms, of not worrying too much if their child, more so the first child does not do too well in math.
Different people have different levels and types of intelligences. Some open up academically, socially a bit late than most. Like the most famous public figure Mahatma Gandhi was a terribly shy child, Edison was declared dumb and had maximum patents in his name when he grew up.
Comparing siblings, peers on scores, abilities serves no purpose other than spoiling relations and complicate the matter further.
I would urge the parents to let the child enjoy childhood, learn at her own pace, score as less or more as she can on her own. Children do catch with time.
